Hooray for our first blog post!!!
First, we are so grateful for all of the work that everyone did for our wedding! It was so wonderful. Everyone did so much and we didn't really get a chance to actually thank them because there was so much going on that day and there were all these sparklers in the way and then we left for a week and got back and BAM, school started and...Yes, excuses, excuses. So, since we won't be getting those formal thank you notes out for a few years yet, we wanted to make sure our family know how much we really appreciated everything they did.
Caroline made the slideshow which was fantastic! I am amazed that she even included the temple pictures from that morning! Also, I'm pretty sure getting Rickrolled was James's favorite part of the whole reception.
Marianne got me a SEWING MACHINE! :) So far it is working great. However I haven't been able to do anything with it yet except fix James's pants because we've been busy with school :)
Abbey was wonderfully nice to throw me a bridal shower the night before the wedding! It was really lovely and I had a lot of fun! James did too, at the Nickel Arcade.
AnnaMarie did the beautiful guest book! I loved all the places inside for guests to write things. A few favorites...
Q: What will you remember most about our big day?
A: Watching you two look into the mirrors of the temple together, Jim.
Q: What's your best advice for being happy and staying in love forever?
A (from Calvin): Don't get any divorces.
And Katie's picture of me and James:
We really enjoyed looking at these and all our other special gifts. But that wasn't until after the honeymoon. Honeymoon? Oh, that reminds me. Here are some honeymoon pictures!
Looking fancy on Formal Night
James got cheesecake for dessert almost every single day.
And look how happy he is!
On the windy deck of the ship!
James loved relaxing on the deck
Waiting for the New Years balloon drop.
Mini golf on the top deck!
Ah, look at him gaze off into the horizon...
James took some really pretty pictures of the ocean and skyline:
James captured the romantic sunset using his telephoto lens.
Grand Turk Island! (And Princess Caye Island)
And how could we resist the hats?!
Probably the best vacation ever.
That does look like the best vacation ever. Awesome pictures, and I love the marriage advice! Haaa!!
