The Revival

On another note I finally revived my old ipod that Dad got me when I was like 14. The battery had long since died loosing its ability to hold a charge. I found online that batteries for them are super cheap so I ordered one. I also ordered a replacement for the hard drive. Now I have 32 gb flash storage as opposed to the 20gb of the fragile spinning hard drive that it had before.

I also took a calc test the other day. I got an 80% on it so I'm pretty happy. Miranda is pretty amazing for helping me so much in my class.

Capitol Reef National Park

So last week Benjamin, Carli, Miranda and I drove down to Capitol Reef National Park.  It was about a 3 hour drive to get down there. We left around 3 ish on friday and got there around dinner time. We got there and discovered that all of the campsites were filled up at the campground and later realized that the 2 other campgrounds in the park were one opposite ends of the park on rough roads. We opted to drive through to the eastern side of the park out into BLM lands and just camped where we found a nice spot that happened to have a fire ring already. That Saturday we went out and went on a 1.5 mile hike that took us about 2 hours. It was hot and steep going up about 1000 feet. It was really pretty though so I guess it was worth it. After that we went on a few smaller hikes and then left around dinner time to go to a burger joint called Slackers, which has really good burgers and shakes. Then we drove home.

L3 Open House

So here's a little update of things that Miranda and I have been up to!

This weekend we went to SLC to go to an open house at L3 Communications where Miranda's dad works. He showed us his office and what not and one of the labs he has equipment in. Although it was just through a window. It was pretty cool actually. While we were there we got to see a communication hummer (which is where  I'm sitting in the picture below), A predator drone (which Miranda is standing in front of) and a large 1,200 lb meteorite. It was pretty fun.
